I Doula U has several package options for your birth. The basic doula package will include:

One to two pre-labor visits: to discuss your birth plan, pain management, and practice comfort methods.

One prenatal visit with you and your care provider, if desired.

Unlimited phone and email support.

On-call starting at 37 weeks gestation.

Use of Baby Care TENS Unit.

Access to my library.

Continuous physical and emotional support for the duration of your labor through two hours after the birth of your child.

Initial breastfeeding assistance.

One to two postpartum visits.
Postpartum Visits
I offer both daytime and overnight care. Call to set up your complimentary consultation. At this time I will and answer any questions you may have. Once I come to your home I will then do a care plan customized to fit you and your baby’s needs. After the birth of your baby and when your postnatal care starts, our duties include:

baby-soothing skills

assistance with newborn care

care for the baby to allow rest or free time for mom

meal preparation

running errands
-
breastfeeding support

pump or bottle preparation

creating a nurturing environment

baby-wearing assistance

sleeping solutions for mom and baby

offering resources and referrals

organization of home and/or nursery
-
offer a listening ear

breastfeeding support

support for emotional and physical recovery after childbirth

Postpartum packages are available By the hour visits are available with a 4-hour min.
Infant Care
My goal is to assist sleep deprived families, giving them the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful and exciting time with their growing family.

Transition baby to a regular sleeping and feeding schedule
-
Educate and support families with al feeding needs.

Assist with bathing, feeding, diapering, bathing, infant laundry and sterilizing bottles
-
Working nights 8-12 shifts depending on needs of clients
-
Frequency of night services range from 1-7 nights per week
As a Doula, I Do Not:
Perform any clinical tasks
I am here to provide physical comfort, advocacy and emotional support. My role is nonintervention and non-medical. I do not perform any vaginal exams, blood pressure monitoring, fetal heart check, and others. Labor support doulas are here to provide only physical comfort, emotional support, and advocacy.
Make decisions for you
I will not make any decisions for you. I will help get you the information needed to make a conscious and informed decision. I work for you the client not the hospital or birth center, I will be there to remind you of your wishes if there are any changes that affect the birth plan.
Speak to the staff on your behalf
I will be by your side to discuss any questions and your concerns and suggest options. Remember you are the captain to your birth team so you and your partner will be the ones that speak to the clinical staff.
